Age old question but I'm so torn and would love some objective opinions!
The general advice seems to be that if you're friends outside of work, they make the cut. I'm 26 and he's 40 and married with two young kids, and while I feel like we do have a genuine friendship (sharing fun moments, grabbing lunch together in the office) and I believe he would be excited to get an invite, our friendship is ultimately work based.
The other thing to consider is that if I invite him, I'd need to invite another coworker who I'm friendly with, but more in a 'work friend' kind of way. However, he lives out of town and might not be able to attend.
Both would get +1s to the 120-person wedding.
