Invitations/rsvp's

Brittany, on May 28, 2019 at 8:16 PM Posted in Planning 0 4
Hey everyone! It's been a while since I've been on here! I hope planning for everyone has been going well.

I am at the point where I am starting to look at invitations. I plan on ordering them in a little less than a month. Our caterer offers two entrees and during our tasting we chose the two that we will be serving. We will be having filet mignon and crab cakes with salad and vegetables. Usually on an RSVP card the guest selects which one they like, but we're giving both. Should I just eliminate this section all together? Should I put a note about what entrees are included? We have three or so known vegetarians in the family and on our website we say to contact us if anyone has any dietary restrictions. I'm so used to seeing RSVPs where guests indicate what type of entree they would like. I'm just trying to figure out the best way to do this, any suggestions are appreciated! Smiley smile

Thanks so much!

I would take out the entree selection and put in a line for dietary restrictions.

When I receive an RSVP card without an entree selection, I assume it’s going to be a buffet but I know a duet entree is always possible too. I don’t think you have to specifically tell guests what you are serving unless you really want to. When it’s a buffet, you never know until you get there and that’s fine. I’d just eliminate it and include a line for dietary restrictions.

I agree with this! Just like what you would do for a buffet meal.
