This might be a dumb question but y’all might know:
When it comes to mailing your wedding invitations, do you have to drop them at the post office, or can you just put them in the mailbox for your mail carrier to take? If the latter is a good option I obviously wouldn’t put ALL of them in at once. Maybe 10-15 at a time.

I would just make sure you have the right amount of postage and you should be good. I’m going to drop mine off just bc I’m super paranoid and I have to go there anyway to get an international stamp for a guest.

I used an official post office box but I have one in our building and I dropped them all in at once (with proper postage).

If you want them hand-cancelled (which you probably do), you have to bring them to the post office and request it.

Hey Katy! There is absolutely no such thing as a dumb question, so need to worry about that! If you have any other questions about planning your wedding, please don’t hesitate to ask the community, we love to help!!
It’s totally personal preference for how you would prefer to post your invitations. A lot of couples like the certainty of bringing them to the post office personally. Is your local post office near you?
If not, you can totally drop them to a mailbox. It depends on what you feel most comfortable doing.

I put dropped mine right in the mailbox. I was going to have them hand cancelled and all of that. However, I figured no one will keep the envelopes.
Everyone received their invites just fine.

I work like 2 minutes from the post office so I will just drop them off. I dropped the STDs in the outdoor mailbox after hours, but I was salty because it said they didn't open those til late afternoon Monday which I thought was so dumb instead of the early morning. So this time I am making sure I bring them inside.

I brought them into the post office. Even though I weighed them at home, I wanted to confirm that 1 forever stamp was enough. I did not want all of them returned due to insufficient postage!
