Who did you invite and why? We both come from big families. Most of his family is in another country.
My family is a mixed family so I have 4 sides to choose from in either direction I choose.
plus friends
we are only doing 75 people.

I only invited those that I really want to see and may have been able to make it.

There we’re still 3 UNINVITED people at the Reception despite all of my precautions and determination to avoid this.

We have a count of 50 (but the venue is allowing me a few extras, so I’m actually at 55). Both families are pretty big but we determined the family members who are immediate- parents, siblings, grandparents, then we went to aunts and uncles who are local that wouldn’t have to travel, and then we each have a couple friends. I had to make it very clear to our out of state families that it just was not feasible to invite all of them.

Write out a must have list of people who you definitely want there off the top of your head. See how many names that is. People who are not on that initial list are probably just add-ons who you feel SHOULD be their because their family. Make sure the people who make the cut are the people closest to you.

When it came to family he didn't invite all of his even though we had room. He didn't like certain family members and so didn't feel it necessary. So I guess we invited people we felt supportive to us

We went with Shutterfly because they had a 60% off sale. So we got 215 invitations with gold envelopes for $240. I bought some rhinestone ribbon on Amazon for $15 bucks and forever stamps off eBay a while back when we made our STD for 40cents a stamp. We also found some matching inserts on Groupon for $30 for 200 RSVP cards We really wanted nice invitations but didn't want to spend more than a couple hundred bucks total since we're having so many guests. We made our STD by hand.
