Invitations

Kelsi, on March 11, 2020 at 8:51 PM Posted in Planning 0 6
Just thought I’d post a little funny story (no advice or tips needed)

My invitations recently went out and a few things have happened (keep in mind, each were individually weighed at the post office for postage)
1) an invitation went to cousins who already got our save the date (and we mail stuff often) and we got it back because the postman said that the address doesn’t exist 🤦🏻‍♀️2) another cousin got theirs sent back to us return to sender. Same thing - had previously sent them a save the date. At this point, I’m just calling it a “no” RSVP since I didn’t even care if they were on the list 3) 2 members of our bridal party live together. Groomsman and his girlfriend got sent their invite. Sister/bridesmaid in the same house also got sent one. Today we got the groomsman’s back because according to the post office, we were 15 cents short on postage???? But his sisters identical invite arrived!!!!
This is gonna end up the most stressful part of wedding planning 😂

Aha wow that’s funny. So odd that one got sent back and the other didn’t

Oh wow. Something doesn't add up. That's so strange lol. I hope you don't get anymore returns like that.

That’s funny! I work for an HOA office and every time we send mail to this one person, the post office holds it and makes them pay a PENNY! All over our mail is weighed and stamped on site so it’s funny that one person, every time, has to go get mail for penny.

We had similar problems. It was infuriating.

I still want to know why we didn't get a refund for postage on problems that were clearly the post office's issue!

Yes!!! This! It's so frustrating. So much wasted time and money on their end, too.

Okay, this is really funny! I used to work for a property management company and wish we would've done this!
