I am sending out my postponed invitations in July, we already had all of our RSVPs back for our April wedding when we postponed.

I am worried also that our states reopening phase will change, but I think at this point everyone understands when it comes to weddings we don’t have any clue or control as to what’s going on. I would suggest if you haven’t already, make a free wedding website and share the link that is a good way to post updates and send that information out very quickly to all of your guests

I’m nervous about sending our save the dates in case anything changes but I like the idea you have off sending our postponed invites. Do you send out invites and save the dates or just either or? Our wedding isn’t until next May but you never know what could happen with the way they’re talking about the coronavirus having another wave.

I didn’t send save the dates originally (I think they’re cute but kind of a gimmick and another cost). I sent group messages when we postponed and asked certain family members to spread the word. Also updated our wedding website and sent the link. Easy way to send immediate updates

Yes! That’s perfect! I think I’m definitely feeding into the gimmick lol maybe I’ll do save the dates and do group texts and refer them to the website for official invites? Idk I’m so jumbled. Do you think it’s weird that I haven’t announced the date yet? I got engaged December 21st we picked our date mid March. But I was thinking of surprising our friends with save the dates to announce the date 🤔 did you use the website on here to refer your guests? We’re having a small beach wedding with mostly just our friends and children

I’ve fed so many gimmicks, I thought I’d skip this one lol!

I ordered my invitations through Minted, and they offer a free website package. You edit the content but they have ones that match your invitations. For $15 you can customize the url link so it’s not just random numbers and letters.
I originally sent my invites out 2 1/2 months before the original date. (wedding was 4/26 sent out on 2/12).
If I had sent out save the dates, I probably would have only given guests four weeks to RSVP, and would have mailed them at the end of March.

Okay! That makes plenty of sense! I have looked on Etsy but I’ll try minted. Especially since they have invites that match the save the dates! I plan to announce our date in July when we get our engagement photos taken. I created a website through here because it was so easy and simple. Is minted simple to create also?
