Our date is 10/04/20. We just sent ours out this week, but about half of our guests are out of state and our wedding is an hour and a half from our home so even locals will want the opportunity to make arrangements for the weekend. Our RSVP date is for early August so it gives us August to follow up and September to finalize headcounts for the vendors, and to work out our seating plan for the reception.

I spoke with the calligrapher who is doing my invitations. She said the beginning of August design and plan. Then send out 8 weeks before. I got a wedding invitation in November of 19 for a wedding on Sept. 26 2020. I have since mis-placed the invitation. So I don't want to send them too soon in haste.

    THANK YOU!

80 of our 90 guests will have to travel from out of state, and about half will cross the country to come. I got a lot of comments that prepping to send my invites in the next two or three weeks was way too early for our 10/10 wedding, but we want to be mindful that travel is expensive so last minute! We are also sending out invites in waves because we have limited ceremony space, so if someone isn't coming that opens a spot for another guest who is. That takes time too...

Us too!! Almost all of our 90 guests are out of state by a large distance. So we are sending ours in the next week or two. Our wedding is 10/10 and I want people to be able to book flights if necessary without spending an arm and a leg on late flights. And the vendor/seating plan is a huge concern. I'm so glad it's not just us! There seems to be a lot of flack for sending invites early. :/

Also 10/10 ! Smiley smile We have almost all of our guests coming in from out of state, many cross country, so we are sending invites in the next week or two (once I get them all together with a special COVID notice :/ ) Our RSVP is August 1, because I know I am going to have to hunt people down for answers and we need to lock in our head county by mid September for catering and venue.

I’ve selected my invites. I’m waiting a bit longer before I order them though. My venue is open but at 50% capacity. We were going to only going to be at 75% if everyone on our guest list could come...so I’m hoping we don’t have to cut 25 people.

Hi, I'm a September wedding but wanted to share this in case it helps you or anyone else. We sent out save the dates in December because we have people coming from all over the US. Now we have guests asking us will it go through? We just got our magnets back and are sending them out (see picture) now. I have set up an "event" that is a Covid update on this website. The magnets tell everyone again to check the website and I have given them all the information, on website, about how we are trying to protect everyone and how we are going about it..... Hand sanitizer everywhere, masks if needed or wanted, tables 6' apart and seating with family or people at least that you have been around. It tells how our meal service is changing etc. They can decide from there if they feel comfortable enough to come. Now the tricky part... the actual invitations. After much talk with friends and family and just not knowing what will happen I am going to order my invites next week as we need time to get them made, shipped and put it together, address them etc, so we need time. 300+ invites We will actually send them out the very end of July for a Sep 18 wedding. The date however will NOT be on the invitations. Just before we send them out we will have a "date label" put on them. It's sad but we've got to have time to order and label and we won't know until the end of July what restrictions will be enforced in Colorado for August and September and our reception is in a County building on top of it. We could write the date in but that takes time too. We hope our quests understand. If we delay until next year our invitations will still be good!

There is no perfect answer but I love hearing everyone's ideas.

Sorry the picture is SO big and sideways! Smiley winking We got the magnets from www.magnetstreet.com they were very reasonable. Our invites are coming from there too.

Good luck to everyone! Remember the bottom line.............

WE ARE GETTING MARRIED NO MATTER WHAT! Smiley heart Smiley ring

Late to the discussion! I am going to be ordering my invites for my 10-10-2020 wedding this week. I'll have them sent by 8/15 (8 weeks out) and request RSVPs back by 9/12 (4 weeks out). I've been dragging my feet because who knows what the world could be like in October :/ But they are 50% off right now so I'm getting the push I need.

We're 10/25/2020- we ordered our invites a few weeks ago, I wanted to make sure we'd have them with all the mail delays so we ordered very early.

We'll be sending them out around beginning of August. "Technically" a little early, but we have some out of state people coming in- so I want to provide extra time for travel arrangements and time off requests.

Our RSVP date is 10/5/2020, just shy of 3 weeks before the wedding.

We ordered ours early- just in case COVID caused any delays in shipping. We'll be sending them out the end of July.

Our wedding is 10/17/2020. We will be making our own invitations this month and sending all of them out by end of July. We did a pre-announcement on social media since we were initially scheduled to be married in June but had to postpone so the majority of our guests know the date and time and just waiting for the formal invite.

I already sent the invites last week for our 10/30/2020 wedding with a deadline of October 1st. Venue needs a final count two weeks before the wedding date. Then the recent news about the surge of Covid-19 along with CA being in a second lockdown got me worried and stressed about weddings in the fall. I feel like I should also prepare a postponement card just in case.

We did ours two months before the date. I think you could wait another month for them cause if you send too early you risk people losing the invite or something

    Our date is 10/3/2020

We will be sending out invites next week. Should we need to decrease the number of guests that will be able to come if things change due to COVID, we will reach out to them individually.

Our guest list was relatively small to begin with- we will be sending out invites for 75 guests.

We should be sending ours out relatively soon. We will be getting them this week. I want to give people enough time to think about it especially. If anything happens where we have to reschedule we have to find a change the date card. knock on wood it doesn't as we can't see into the future.

sorry i never answered anybody else. just getting to read these.

Hoping planning is still going smooth.

Ours is 10/3 (rescheduled from May) and is out of town. I sent them last week. I'm trying to stay positive and think we won't have to cancel and wanted to make sure everyone has plenty of time to plan!
