Invitations have arrived!!

Jessica, on June 21, 2019 at 12:31 PM Posted in Planning 2 8
I'm so excited.. Our invitations came in from Vistaprint for our October wedding! We also ordered printed envelopes from Minted and they arrived today too. So happy with both. My fiance designed the invitations on Photoshop and we uploaded and printed them from Vistaprint. We opted not to waste the money and paper on a details card and put it on the back of the invitation instead (we did the same with our save the dates). We ended up going on Fiverr and found someone to do a watercolor of the view at our venue and used that for the image for the invitations. So happy with how they turned out ♥️

These are so cool! I didn't even think about using Fiverr for the watercolor design I wanted. Very economical. Maybe for my thank you cards!

My maiden name will be Moody! That's funny that I'm losing the Moody name and you are taking it Smiley smile it's a good one!

Thank you, ladies! So happy with how they turned out. Poor FH had to do like 500 revisions until it was perfect haha, but I'm really happy with them. I also have seen a lot of people worried about costs so I wanted to share ours:

Obviously FH designing them took out that cost which would have added quite a bit, but for 70 invites on Vistaprint it was $54.43 including shipping and we upgraded to linen paper. For our envelopes, we chose a beautiful layout on minted and including shipping they were $25.95. Those prices are after coupons, we got 40% off Vistaprint and 20% off minted. We still have enough stamps from our save the dates (bought them all then before the price increased) so I'm happy with how much we paid for these Smiley smile

Was having trouble getting these uploaded but this is the envelope from Minted. Much thicker than the free ones that come with the Vistaprint invitations. We got 70 for 26$.

Oh my goodness, I love them!! They’re very similar to what we went for (also via vistaprint!) . I was searching forever for invites and didn’t click with any of them and stumbled upon an AMAZING watercolor invite designer on ETSY who would do custom images from photos we sent— I was sooo ready to blow my whole budget on her invites haha but her turn around time and minimum spend didn’t work for me. Our wedding was at my parents’ beach house and my dad paints as a hobby and as I was visiting, I snapped a couple photos of some of his paintings, realizing I could use those as a background image...not quite the watercolor I was initial hoping for but still managed the same idea — so, great minds think alike! I guarantee these will be a big hit among your guests Smiley winking
