Invitations and rsvp

Amanda, on December 25, 2019 at 7:33 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 7
Hello, I am getting married in June 27th 2020. My finance and I we are wondering when to send out the invitation? When to request the rsvp by? We do have family in many different states and wanted to know if we should send they out early. What would you recommend?

Save the dates this month, invitations 6-8 weeks before. Ask your venue when they need the final head count to decide on a RSVP date. We are doing one month before so we can track down any stragglers

Invitations 6-8 weeks before and I would suggest your RSVP due date a month before so that you have time to chase people down that haven't responded before your due date with vendors.

If out-of-staters are a big concern for you, you could always send those ones a week before to give more leeway and time for responses.

I sent out my invites mid august for a November wedding. but majority of my guests were traveling out of state. my venue also needed numbers one month in advance. a lot will depend on when your venue needs your final count.

Invitations typically go out 6-8 weeks before your wedding with a RSVP deadline of 2 weeks before your final headcount is due. I would send your save the dates now, if you have not already, since you will have many out of town guests.

We have sent the save the date out already. The venue said they need a final guest count a month before the wedding.
