Invitations and rsvp Cards

Tatianna, on July 5, 2019 at 3:22 AM Posted in Planning 0 9
My fiancé and I are having a Labyrinth themed wedding. We were trying to find invitation templates to fit the theme as well. In the movie, Jareth (The Goblin King) has the ability to take the form of a barn owl. I found these beautiful barn owl templates and was just wondering if they fit the theme well enough? Is there anything we should do differently or that's missing? My FH thinks that people may get it confused with Harry Potter. I thought that in order to prevent that, I could include a Labyrinth quote with each invitation.

I could see the comparison with Harry Potter but I also feel the quote would help most get the theme you are going for.

To be fair to most people, this detail is more for you. Your family and friends will see the invite and just be happy to hear the news of your wedding. Very few will critique your invitation and whether or not it went perfectly with your theme. They’re just happy to be included. Invitations and programs are rarely saved after the day. It’s advised to not spend lots of money in this area. So if you love it, think it’s a perfect fit...it is! Go for it!

Hey Tatianna! I really love this invitation template! I think the abstractness of the background is perfectly balanced with the detail of the owl. If you are worried that people may not get the connection, then I feel that adding a quote from the movie would work perfectly!

Have you thought of a quote that you think would fit?

We have a few quotes in mind. This is what we got so far:

"Your eyes can be so cruel Just as I can be so cruel Though I do believe in you Yes I do"

"Everything I've done, I've done for you. I move the stars for no one!"

"Just fear me, love me, do as I say, and I will be your slave."

"I need you, Hoggle. I don't know why, but every now and again, for no reason at all, I need you, all of you."

"Live without your sunlight, love without your heartbeat"

"It's only forever, not long at all."

"How you turn my world, you precious thing"

"It's a crystal. Nothing more. But if you turn it this way and look into it, it will show you your dreams."

WOW! You certainly have a good few options!! I think my favorites are -

"Everything I've done, I've done for you. I move the stars for no one!"

"It's a crystal. Nothing more. But if you turn it this way and look into it, it will show you your dreams."

These are my two favorites too! They remind me most of that movie (a few of the others are too obscure). And I love these invites.

When I saw It I thought Harry Potter. I agree a quote would be a great thing to add.
