I’m thinking about making our invitations and using Our engagement photos.. Also should I put a dress code on the invitations? Any thoughts?

We're using one of our engagement photos for our invitations! I don't think you need to prescribe a dress code unless you're having a black tie event

I would just hate for someone to underdressed or overdressed that’s what I’m worried about.
What all do I need to put on the wedding invitations? I’m so new to this

I plan on using a photo too.

    Your names
    Time
    Date
    Place

    These are the most important

A few people will nay say dress code but I will have a suggested one on the invitations or website.
    A. Some guests find it helpful
    B. A few attendees have been known to wear shorts or jeans to a wedding. That's a big fat no.
    C. We want everyone to wear comfortable shoes (but still not shorts or jeans)
    D. It eliminates calls or texts asking what the appropriate attire should be

If you’re strict about a dress code then I would put it in your invitations. My fiancé and I are letting people wear whatever including shorts or jeans because I would prefer them to be more comfortable and come as they are. However, if I was invited to a wedding with a dress code then I would want to know as soon as I’m invited! Mainly so I can have more time to get an appropriate outfit (if necessary!).

Typically, you only note if the event is black tie because that signifies the level of service versus just telling people what to wear. A good option is putting it on the website. Also, your invitation and venue usually denote the level of formality of the event, which gives people a clue as to how to dress. You can absolutely use a photo on your invitation, but invites with photos are typically less formal. If you haven't sent save the dates yet, those often have photos.

In general if you're doing black tie or something formal it goes on the invite, otherwise not. Or if you're going somewhere unusual like a farm or beach that would require consideration.
I've never seen people show up in jeans to a wedding.
