Invitation Wording

Holly, on April 16, 2020 at 8:32 PM Posted in Planning 0 4
Hi! I am working on designing invitations, but I’m a bit confused on how to word them. We are having our ceremony and reception at two separate places, but I can’t find any templates that demonstrate how to word it, they all say reception to follow. Do I need a separate details card? I’d rather not waste additional money just to list where the reception would be. Thanks!

I would include a reception card with the address.

I don’t think a detail card or reception card is wasteful. I def encourage you to use a detail or reception insert with the invitation. We had a detail card that noted the ceremony and reception address along with registry and accommodation information. Good luck. ❤️

I had a detail card in my invite and it was all in one place. In your case, I would say yes it’s needed.

Hi Holly! If you don't want to include a separate reception card, you can always listed both venues on your main invitation. You can just say "Reception to follow at [name of venue]"!

However I would make sure that your guests clearly understand there are two separate locations, and include address details and relevant maps / directions on your wedding website!
