Invitation wording

Rebeca, on July 18, 2019 at 12:11 PM Posted in Planning 0 8
We are having a brunch wedding starting at 10:30 am. Should the wording on the invite say “reception and dancing to follow” or “brunch and dancing to follow”?

How about "brunch reception and dancing to follow"?

I think reception and dancing to follow seems traditional. However brunch and dancing to follow lets your guests know that there will be food at the reception even though it is not a traditional meal time. You could always combine them to say brunch reception and dancing to follow.

I think brunch and dancing to follow. It sets the mood for what your guest can expect and honestly it sounds cute!

I just put buffet style dining and dancing to follow on ours. So put brunch style dining and dancing or just dining and dancing.

I would just say “dining and dancing to follow” - they’ll know it’s brunch by the time of day.

Absolutely what Lauren said: let guests know it's a brunch reception so no one is wondering if food will be available.
