Invitation wording on traditions

Vicky, on May 16, 2019 at 6:55 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5
So I am trying to write on the invitations: "notes" to keep in mind about coming to the wedding, keep in mind, these are traditions from the Philippines and half the guests are Spanish or American so they would not be aware of these traditions... but I have no idea how to word it properly without sounding demanding.
1) how do I word "please keep in mind the following notes"
2) how to word "please bring dollar bills to attach to the bride's gown "
3) how to word "please do not wear black, it's considered bad luck"

I just want to make sure it's in proper etiquette... please help! Thank you!

I wouldn’t mention any of these things. Let the people who are part of that culture do what’s normal to them and the others can do the same.

You could just put in a details card giving background stories about these traditions.

Could you have an info card starting with “Philippine wedding traditions that we would love you to be a part of on our special day...” to give them the hint without being too direct?

If you are doing a program, make sure you include the dollar dance. If not, I agree with the others to give a background story on the dollar dance. People should get the hint. And about the no black attire, You can include that on your details card.

I like what Morgan and Steph said. Details cards will go a long way, and asking people to be a part of your special traditions will probably make them want to participate. At least that's what I've had in my experience.
