Invitation Rsvps

Kelsey, on March 2, 2021 at 11:42 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 10

So on my Invitations i added the link to the wedding website for RSVPs, like i listed below. Should I also add RSVP cards in invitations for my old school guests and maybe include a QR code on the back for easy search for young people who know how to use it?

Or just pray people take time to look up my website to RSVP?

The thing is, I Already ordered and received the invitations so its too late too add it unless I want to completely reorder invitations and waste all that money and paper

A QR code will make it easiest for those who are doing it electronically to begin with. And you could include RSVP cards for older guests. You can put them in all the cards, but if it saves a little money I'd just do it in the guests you're not sure if they could manage the QR code.

Utilize regular reply cards and rsvpify.com. A QR code will confuse many people on how they work. Make it is simple as you can and assume that most are not tech savvy

I sent rvsp cards as not everyone is tech savvy but also provided the option to respond online...turns out people didn't even notice the website and are sending me the cards back anyway 🤦🏼‍♀️ lol

We’re going to just do online RSVP and put the website on the back of the invite just like you did. We’re not doing reply cards for anyone, and no QR code. I figured most folks can figure out how to navigate a simple website with the RSVP embedded (we’re using the Knot and it’s super simple) and anyone that doesn’t RSVP we can track down pretty easily. The only person on our list that I doubt can handle the website is my grandmother, and I’ll just ask her over the phone if she’s attending. I didn’t want to deal with the hassle and expense of reply cards, especially considering we’re moving in the middle of all of this and I didn’t want to have to worry about any getting sent to the wrong address or having to delegate someone else to receive them.

We're just doing online RSVP without cards to save on paper and money. No reply cards either and no QR code. Most people know how to navigate a website, even the older crowd. Just like Catherine mentioned, we're going to track down those that haven't RSVP'd yet within 2 weeks of our RSVP deadline and letting them know the need to RSVP or they'll be put down as 'not attending'.

We just did online RSVPs but still had to chase most people and RSVPd them on their behalf.

Based on our guest list, we’re only doing online RSVPs because they’re all knowledgeable enough to handle it. We don’t have any “elderly” (non-tech) guests coming since both of our grandparents are deceased. Anyone who doesn’t RSVP, I can easily call.

I would stick with just online RSVP's. We used online RSVP's and none of our guests, including the older ones, had any issues.

I mailed my RSVPs with each invitation and on the invite I put they can either mail or respond via website and then provided the URL. Allowed for tech savvy guests to get it done with ease and the traditional guests who preferred to mail! Also a great way for all guests to be able to access event information and registry.

We did both online RSVP and cards. And as I suspected our younger guests replied online and older through the mail. Online we were able to add a section for food allergies and song requests, but I forgot to include it on the cards.
