Invitation issues

Mandi, on April 27, 2022 at 7:21 PM Posted in Planning 1 7
Ladies just a heads up because it’s happening to me right now, people are forgetting to put their names on the rsvp cards I sent out so I had to contact them all. So make sure you have it to put their names down otherwise your going to be like me contacting everyone and trying to find out who sent what. Plus the post office is going slower then usually on receiving them in so we had to send our invitations out a little earlier to avoid any problems. Just figured I share that with you. Good luck and pray that this works out for me. I’m already stressed but laughing at the same time.

I know it's too late to help but I found writing a number that corresponds to the invitation in invisible ink was really helpful so far. I hope you are able to track everyone down. That sounds like a pain.

I had an excel spreadsheet for my guest list and wrote the row number in really small print in the corner of the of the RSVP card. I just used regular ink and I cannot imagine anyone actually noticed.

If you can, have names printed directly onto the reply cards by the print shop.

We're using an invisible marker (can be read with blacklight pen) to number them and it will correspond to a specific person/couple on an excel list of our invitees.

I literally just looked in the mail to find an RSVP with no name... which made me remember I saw a suggestion somewhere to number them! Wish I'd remembered before I sent out. Oh well.

I know this isn’t for everyone because it’s not as traditional or fancy as a traditional response card, but I have been SO happy with the WeddingWire RSVP function- it’s been so easy to keep track of, has eliminated postage costs, and has made response time quicker because we’re not having to wait on the postal service
