Invitation date spelled out? Template pic included

How necessary is it to spell out the date on the invite? The template I bought has the month spelled out, and number for day and year. I don’t want to look totally tacky by not spelling it out, but it also looks strange to do that. What do y’all think? I attached the template that I pulled from Etsy so y’all can see.

I personally feel not spelling it out gives a more casual vibe. It is totally acceptable, and oftentimes preferable if this is the bibe you are going for. I think the way it is on the template with this invitation design is very pretty, and casual. If that is the vibe you are going for then I think it is perfect.

I think I’m going for a classy-casual? Neither one of us are super formal people, and we know our guests. Nicely dressed party and guests, but laid back drinking beer and having a good time. If that makes sense.

Ours looks like that but we're also putting it on mock airplane tickets (our theme is travel). Needless to say, everything is pretty casual and informal, including our invitations.
