Invitation Assembly

Maria, on July 26, 2017 at 9:15 AM Posted in Planning 0 20

Hi Guys!

So all my invitations are addressed and I'm just left with the task of stuffing them all. We aren't doing response cards, since you can use wedding wire to RSVP - instead I had small business sized cards made with the RSVP date and how to get to our wedding website. I am unsure about just throwing them into the envelope with the invitation because they are so much smaller. Does anyone have any ideas? Or do you think they will be okay in there floating around? I would love any help!

I had the same problem. I just put them in honestly hoping for the best. Looking back I probably should have tried to get another envelope to put inside but oh well.

What about using a belly band to hold pieces together? That's what I used, and the invitation, reception card, rsvp postcard, and accommodation card all held up together.

Sarah, I'm sure yours will be okay! I suppose its not like they can go anywhere besides the envelope lol.

Thanks for the idea Leah, I hadn't thought of those since I only have the two pieces. You think it would still hold with the business card being so much smaller than the invitation? Maybe could do a thin belly band

I had smaller envelopes inside the main invitations, thinking it would help... but people still misplaced them or didn't even look at it ... it's kinda like you're damned if you do and damned if you don't... maybe send emails? Sorry this probably wasn't that helpful

My thought was they will have to look inside the envelope for more information not on the invite. But then like Alisa G said maybe not and they'll toss it before realizing...

Right that's what I'm worried about too! That's kinda why I wanted to attach it to the invitation somehow so there was no possible way anyone could miss it

Maybe the paper clip idea, if you can find fancy ones?!

I added a little tag to my invitations last min that says " We have reserved _ seat(s) in your honor"

I got a whole punch and used this fancy silver ribbon and wrapped it around my RSVP inserts.

What is the style of the actual invitation.?

I just used some thin, wired ribbon that way it folded rather than tied, but I like the decorative paper clip idea too!

I'm doing the same thing. They are the smallest card so they are a little bigger than yours. The invitation will be first then the info card then RSVP.

I'm so glad you mentioned hole punching because I thought of that originally but I didn't know if people took a hole puncher to their wedding stuff

I attached a picture of our wedding invite. (Don't mind the lovely bed spread background)

I used belly bands, super cheap to make out of craft cardstock and a tape runner. But Washi tape could possibly work too.

So i just wanted to post an update in case anyone else had the same issue as I did... I found a box of rose gold tear drop shaped clips that are so pretty, and I got a pack of 100 for $6 on Amazon. I assembled all of my invitations over the weekend and they look awesome. Thank you guys so much for all of your suggestions and help!

Hi! Can you share a photo? Did you have issues with postage?

Hi! I don’t think I actually took a picture of them assembled unfortunately. But no issues with postage and I had a card stock invitation with a business card sized addition paper clipped on
