I searched a bit but couldn't find anyone who has posted this so if someone already did I apologize... but I know people have asked how people feel about others proposing during their weddings and opinions are fairly split. However, this article says a best man interrupted the ceremony when the couple was saying their VOWS to propose to his girlfriend!

People are crazy!

If I was the bride I would have stomped on this BM's foot with my fancy wedding shoes until he shut the hell up.

I think if the bride and groom know ahead of time AND it's done at the reception and not the ceremony AND the couple was fine with it when they were asked, proposing at a wedding is alright. BUT you can bet your butt I would not have been kind if this was sprung on me, let alone in the middle of the dang ceremony. Nope nope. He would have stood up and shut up or got a broken toe, or 5.

    DeNigris2Be Yes! Exactly!

I agree that while some couples may be okay with people proposing at the reception it generally is only if they are super close to the couple and have been asked prior. No way anyone would be okay with it happening during the ceremony.

Any kind of person that decides to propose at someone else wedding deserves to get their ass beat. Dont ruin my moment to make the spotlight about you and your damn girlfriend. I would be pissed. Actually, i am about to go make a status about this on facebook for some humor on this beautiful Tuesday!

That is so rude!!! I would have no problem if someone proposed during my reception. It's not "my day". The day is for everyone to enjoy in my opinion. The ceremony though?!?! Yuck!

Oh hell no. I don't know how the bride stayed so calm. If our BM did that, my Manolo's would have met his balls in the middle of his proposal.

I would've just interrupted them and asked them to remove themselves from the ceremony. No fucking way.

I can tell you that if the best man dropped to his knee or anywhere else, I'd have him removed immediately. I've had people faint before; we stop, we remove (more gently than in THIS situation) and we move on. The fact that the video people, musicians, family or bridal party didn't intervene is really inexplicable to me.
