International / destination Brides

Hey lovelies!

So I’m having a pandemic of my own- my fiancé and his family are from Australia, while me family and I are from America. We have planned our wedding for May 8, 2021 in Florida. This will be a destination for both sides.
I’m wondering if I should lay low on sending any save the dates, planning etc because I’m not sure when or how long this travel ban will last.
There has been word spreading that international travel could be banned through the end of this year.
Thoughts?

If you’re having a destination wedding I’d go ahead and do business as usual. Even if there will be no travel for the rest of the year your wedding is 5 months after that. You should be fine.

I agree with Rebelle... I mean you still want to give your guests ample time to book a hotel and buy tickets. I would just continue to plan and update guests accordingly.

Well it's May 2021. I doubt the travel ban will be kept up that long. It would ruin every major airline. I would just plan as if it is going ahead normally.

    Hi Allie,

Congrats on your engagement! I agree with all of the comments above. I think we are too far out to know what things will look like.

Because the wedding is next year, I would continue planning as normal.

Sending you all of our love!

    Smiley heart
