Instrumental prelude? Or vocals included?

Hello,

Just curious what everyone thinks, should the songs playing while guests arrive to the ceremony be instrumental?
We’re doing a slideshow of us from infants to now (our church has screens at h the front) and I’m trying to decide on music to play with it.

I think that would be a great time to use instrumental music! If it were for cocktail hour or after the ceremony, I would say lyrics would be better. But before your ceremony it might create a nice ambience. Plus there are so many great instrumental songs and covers out there and it's tough to find moments that they would fit, so I think it would be perfect!

Check out Vitamin String Quartet. They have instrumental versions of almost any popular songs you can think of. Aa a guest, I kind of like trying to figure out which song it is-my husband and I basically make a game of it while we wait for the wedding to start.
