Instead of Unity Candle....??

Our church provides a unity candle for us to use but we want to do something different. We thought about doing the sand, but that's become extremely popular. Any creative ideas on what to use instead of a unity candle or sand?

    One of my couples used colored beads (the kind for making jewelry) instead of sand or salt.

    Another couple planted flower seeds.

    Other couples have watered a small potted tree or a potted orchid.

    IF our church allows it (not sure yet), we will be doing a unity glow stick. It represents FH's love of science, and I like that it is a chemical reaction that cannot be undone, unlike a candle that can be blown out. Just YouTube it. Smiley smile
