Instead of "together with our families"

Gen, on August 25, 2018 at 3:30 PM Posted in Planning 0 11

So my FH doesn't have the greatest relationship with his family, it seems too ironic and too weird to us to put "together with our families" at the top of our wedding invite.

"Together with our families

Genevieve xxx and Jason xxx

request the pleasure of your company at the celebration of their marriage"

Does anyone have any other suggestions of how to begin the invitation, to replace the "together with our families" part?

Thanks!

    And I just took out the "Together with their Families" It looks perfectly normal!

    We were thinking about that, ours looks a bit empty on the top without it though just because of the format of the invite

    Look on Shutterfly or similar site for examples. Ours didn’t mention family at all

    We also took it out all together. Does the website you're using for invitations allow you to reposition the names higher on the invitation to take away the space for "together with their families"?
    I had the same issue with the wording.

    Usually this part indicates who is hosting. So if it’s your and your FH paying for the wedding, there is no need to indicate that anyone else is inviting people to your wedding, because you are the only ones hosting.

    This is it! Some people add names of parents not hosting, but no need to, ever.

    I actually like what you have there;

    "Genevieve and Jason request the pleasure of your company at the celebration of their marriage" Or "Together Genevieve and Jason request your company at the celebration of their marriage"
