Inner Envelopes

Virginia, on February 11, 2020 at 2:24 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 4

How did u label them? Formal or casual? For instance, outer envelope reads "Mr. and Mrs. John Doe. How did u label the inner envelope? "Mr. and Mrs. John Doe", "John and Jane Doe" or "John and Jane"? Help...I am way overthinking this!

I used this as a go by when addressing the inner envelopes! https://www.invitationsbydawn.com/content/inner-and-outer-envelopes/

We didn't do inner envelopes. So we just did "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" on the outer one. I'd probably label both the same?

Inner envelopes you would be less formal so it would be like John and Jane Smith and if they have kids you would put their first name(s) under them from oldest to youngest.

Only first names, but we were intimately involved with most guests and wanted it to feel more personal.
