Inner corset?

Dava, on October 7, 2017 at 12:40 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 5

Has anyone had an inner corset put into their dress? My dress is a zip up with faux buttons and I would love to have the corset feel without the corset look. The dress hasnt arrived yet, so just looking for some info before it heads to alterations.

Check out places like Isabella corsetry. To add one to the dress your probably going to end up with plastic boning which isn't worth the powder to blow it to h#!!. You want something with some type of steel boning and you want to be able to break it in slowly otherwise your just going to hurt yourself. Plus with it being a separate piece of clothing there's the added option of wearing it again whether that's for a boudoir shoot, the honeymoon, or just because it makes you feel good.... I wear mine with jeans and cute shoes pretty regularly. And a good quality steel boned corset isn't going to run you any more than having a cheapy one sewn into your dress.

Mine comes with the inner corset and I love it cause otherwise I feel like I'd be worried to move much in it, I think if you can find a good seamstress to add it do your steeds it is a worth investment

@Dava A if you wear it for your fittings a seamstress should be able to fit your dress so it doesn't feel like it's falling down all night. And yes if you want the corset to support the dress some sort of tab can be added to attach your dress to the corset but also make it removable and that should be fairly cost effective. I don't know where your located but do a Google search for corset shops near you, or check the website for a brick and mortar store that carries their products. I know there's a shop in Austin and an hour from me that carries the Isabella line and I'm obsessed with their long line corsets. There comfortable and hold me up and in from the girls down to the post 2 C-section pouch I've got going on lol.
