Infinity dresses? Anyone wear these or have these in their wedding? Pros & cons?

Hannah, on June 28, 2018 at 12:27 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6

So I originally was going to just pick a color, material, and floor length, and have my girls choose what they like from azazie. Well now I came across an infinity dress, and they are quite affordable and can be worn multiple ways, so everyone can still customize their dress to their liking. However, Ive only seem them on the super thin models. My bridesmaids all range in sizes, and two of them are larger chested, so I don't know if these would work for them?

Does anyone have any experience with them? Did you like them? Were they too clingy? What did you wear for support?

I've found some really nice ones on dressandcharm.com for $57 and they come with a free bandeau.

We tried some on for a friend's wedding and they were so bad even the bride said "forget it".

The cheaper ones are mode with cheap fabric that clings to every curve, fold, wrinkle etc and are not flattering at all. If you think the ones you found are ok, order one with your own money to see what it is like before you ask your bm's to spend theirs.

Hi Hannah! I've seen this become so popular recently, as it gives BMs a way to style the dress however they want! What color are you having them wear? I would definitely read reviews on the one you found, sometimes the fabric can be cheap and won't stretch at all. I found two discussions where people talked about infinity dresses and thought I'd share with you for more personal reviews! Hope this helps Smiley smile

    My girls got theirs from
etsy-the ship atom attire. They love them! Super light weight and they were only $50. Definitely a viable option! Maybe just order one, and have several of your girls try it on. That way, if you like it, you can order more. If not, many will let you return them within 3-5 days of receiving them.

My bridesmaids tried these and we hated them! But... the ones at Davids Bridal are way nicer than the ones we tried. I don't believe they truly fit every body type well.

I wore an infinity dress as a bridesmaid in a friend’s recent wedding. Honestly myself and a couple of the other bridesmaids would have preferred to pay more for a regular dress that could be altered. the dress was super thin and had no structure. I had to figure out a way to tie it to hide my bra because it was not possible to sew cups into it. The dress kept coming United and untucked all night even with a bunch of fabric tape holding it in place. The photograph had to help me fix the way it was tied multiple timesbecuase my bra kept popping out. One of the bridesmaids had her come undone on the dance floor. Luckily I was able to grab it before anything happened and retied it. The concept was really cool but the actual reality of it was less so.

My SIL wanted infinity dresses originally for her BMs. I was in the wedding party and I’m plus size and all I can tell you is....oof. SO CLINGY! I looked AWFUL! I’m about a size 18 now and 5’10, was a size 20/25 pounds heavier when trying it on and I’m sure it’d still look awful. It was just cheap, clingy, thin material
