Inexpensive Videographer - Student??

AMANDA, on June 21, 2019 at 3:52 PM Posted in Planning 1 4

I had a videographer in mind, but by the time I got engaged, they raised their prices. I was thinking of finding a student to film my wedding! Any recommendations on where I could find an inexpensive videographer or a student looking to build their portfolio?

A local college for sure. I was a journalism student/documentary production student and we even had cameras to rent and editing suites at school. Any local college that has any kind of production major will likely have students who can film. Now remember, they are students so they may be a little rough looking and not totally perfect. But definitely cheaper than the average videographer for sure! Contact the schools and see if they have a student they can recommend and pass along info to.

Yes! I'm okay with a little less perfect for a much better price...and I would love for them to have an opportunity to build their portfolio and gain more experience. We all start somewhere! Smiley smile Thank you so much!

Local college or try upwork. You can post what your looking for on upwork. It's lots of professionals, freelancers and students
