Inexpensive Liquor brand suggestions

Hi everyone!

We are supplying our own alcohol and hired a Bartender

What inexpensive brands of vodka and tequila are good but not tacky?

Tequila being the most important since lots of our guest are from Mexico and Jose Cuervo is a definite No No!

It would be for mixing drinks not sipping neat.

We are having Malbec, Cabernet, a white wine of some sort, champagne for toast only, vodka, tequila, Mezcal and fernet with mixers (fernet is for an Argentinian drink FH and some guest really like) tequila and mezcal for Palomas

Smirnoff or Absolut for vodka! Jose Gold was the lowest tequila option our venue offered, so I don't have any suggestions!

Beatrice is right on about New Amsterdam. Another popular yet affordable one is Tito's.
For tequila, I would recommend Sauza or 1800. They're both great for mixing and don't run on the pricier side.

Svedka for vodka. Gives me less of a hangover than Smirnoff and I believe it is cheaper. If you can afford it go with Absolut.

You guys are awesome! thank you so much! I asked my bartender for tequila and he suggested Jose Cuervo, which is the one brand we just cannot get LOL

Svedka seems to have good reviews and its one of the lowest priced!
I'll check out Sauza which is also reasonably priced

In our area Tito's is "the" vodka to have. I bartend for a catering company on the side and we always get asked for Tito's and soda.
