Inexpensive Headpieces?

jlabac, on December 27, 2008 at 5:24 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 15

I was just wondering if anyone had some good ideas as to where I could get an inexpensive headpiece for my wedding? I like a lot of the ones they have at David's Bridal, but they run around $100, and I'm sure there has to be some way I can do better than that. Smiley smile

Thanks! Smiley smile

    Congrats on your engagement!

our company offers an alternative to the traditional headpiece. We sell Swarovski Crystal Hair Twists. You can place them in a design in your hair, in a line, etc to create the look of a headpiece. The hair twists crystals are sold in pks of 12 for about $46.00 and they come in 10 diffeent colors. Check out our website at www.CelebrateLikeNeverBefore.com to see an image. Look in the Tiaras and Veils category.

    Congrats again!

Hi - I own a bridal jewelry website and my specialty is finding quality jewelry pieces that cost no more than $45. I have some tiaras and bridal combs in my collection that might fit your criteria.

Also, if you look around and can't find anything that fits your particular style, email me and I can do some hunting for you within your price point from my suppliers end. I always enjoy helping brides find what they need.

Congratulations on your wedding! What a great time in your life.

    All the best -

    Rebecca

Are you looking for a veil or a tiara type headpiece? I bought a tiara (headband really) at AC Moore with a 50% coupon. I think you can see it in my pictures. If your looking for a veil have you tried ebay? I got alot of great stuff for my wedding on there super cheap!Best of Luck.

If you want something different and not expensive for your hair I will suggest flowers like orchids you can get 1 stem and will get serveral blooms. This will look very beautiful and unique! Good Luck

I just bought a really beautiful one on ebay. As long as you make sure that they are brand new from a store you can get some great stuff for an inexpensive price.

You know, I haven't been there in ages, but I used to see them at Sam Moon--they might still carry them! (these don't actually include the veil, though...just the tiara/comb.)

You might consider using a flower instead of a tiara style. It's very inexpensive to get an extra flower from your florist and in my opinion makes a beautiful hairstyle.

You can always do a flower or two in your hair that's pretty & inexpensive...or you can check out www.diybride.com to make your own veil (very easy step by step instructions)

I think you should get on Yahoo.com and go to the local part and type in what you are looking for and where you live, I think you could get a better deal but not by much $100 is pretty good for a headpiece. Try Hobby Lobby or something like a craft store.

I bought a beautiful tiara at JCPenney.com for 19.99. They have a couple others. All under $40.

I had so much fun shopping for my tiara! I agree that $100 was a bit too much, and I am such a bargain shopper that I knew I could do better. I had looked on ebay and tons of other websites and bridal shops. I went into a store called "First imports" (kind of like a Sam Moon) and found one that I really liked. It was priced at $30, but when I checked out, it only cost me $5!!!! Crazy, huh? And it's made from the same materials as the $100 ones. I'll post a picture. Sometimes you just have to look outside the typical places, and who knows what you may find! Have fun shopping!

Target has a white (even though it says it is Champagne) veil for $6. No joke. It's pretty long, but you could shorten it or add more detail.

I would also suggest craft stores. Or flowers. My florist said they would throw in flowers for my hair for free.

    Or try ebay.

I've seen women where a nice flower and baby's breath combo instead of a veil and it's natural and beutiful.

Also If you want to make one yourself, it's preety easy. SOme tooling, hair barrett or comb, some hot glue and your' creative side.

Beleive it or not, but wlamart has a bridal section and I've seen the stuff there!
