Indoor/outdoor reception

Like guests can move between an indoor space and an outdoor space? Where are you planning to set up the DJ/Band? Will food be plated meals or buffet? If plated, will some guests be seated outside and some inside?

Lots of questions about coordinating set up so that it doesn't feel like two completely separate events.

Are you going to give guests the option? Kind of like how they can select a meal on the RSVP card? Or are you not having assigned seating & they can choose to sit indoor or outdoor? Also like Jennifer said you would really need to work on it to not feel like two separate events because you can't have the dj/band, cake cutting, etc. in both places.

Things will be divided but if you don't mind that I don't see a problem.

My reception was inside. But my venue was beautiful and on te water. I also had lawn games. My guests were inside for everything important like first dances and cake cutting. They danced for a while. Then some guests who didn't feel like dancing went outside on the patio for a little while or walked down by the water. It was a beautiful day I dot blame them. It was really nice being able to do both inside and outside and it made my pictures twice as awesome because while a lot of them are inside, the outside ones have beautiful views.
