Indoor reception games

Lydia, on July 18, 2020 at 2:18 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 8
I really want games such as cornhole, giant Jenga, etc for the reception but a few places in looking at are indoor for the reception. Some don’t have outdoor cocktail hour at all. Did anyone have indoor games at their reception and can I see photos of how you made this work? Any tips or advice is appreciated too

I had indoor games the way I did it was that I just had the regular sized ones where people can play it right at their table.

Ok so you just had like an area where the games were and whoever wants can bring it back to their table? That could be an option As we already have a lot of party table games

We did trivia during our reception which was inside. At each seat, we had a questionnaire for each person to fill out along with pens on each table. After dinner, everyone came onto the dance floor. The DJ read each question and if they got it wrong they had to sit down. The last ten people got small prizes.

Do you have any idea of how many games were used or how many people used them just so I can get an idea of how many and what to provide

I had coloring books and crayons for children. I had about 15 games or so. But I know not all of them were used. I wanna say like 5 of them were used.

I don’t have photos yet, but we’ve purchased a package with our DJ for the oversized yard games and if it’s cold or raining/snowing outside, they can be played indoors. We talked to our coordinator at the venue about it and she pointed out the area they would be placed in in case that happens. So my best suggestion if you choose to do the indoor games is to ask the coordinators of the venues if they would allow such a thing (some will not) and where you would set it up.

I’ve already asked and they said yes but didn’t really give feedback and where or how to set it up. If you end up with photos of time indoors can you post them please?
