Indoor Engagement Photos

BlushingBride, on March 24, 2017 at 11:45 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 12

So I'm really close to my 6 month mark and have yet to send out my save the dates. I so badly wanted to get them done outside but each time FH and I have a day off together the weather is crappy. My mother keeps suggesting get them done indoors somewhere. Is this a thing? Have any of you had indoor engagement photos done? The only thing that comes to mind is seeing a cute couple laughing over coffee. I know our save the dates don't have to include our photo but I really wanted them to.

My cousin got married last year and took some really nice pictures at a museum. You might be able to do something like that.

Or use a photo you have for save date and then take the engagement pics that you want !

With all the extra info designs and layout You could totally make another photo look just as nice ... I would just want them done and sent out !

I didn't put a photo on our Save the Dates. It's definitely a nice touch but not absolutley necessary. We mailed Save the Dates from Wedding Paper Divas. I was also still missing some addresses so I had a digital save the date designed and emailed to those guests asking for their addresses.

There was someone on here who had crummy weather when she was supposed to take engagement pics. I believe they ended up going to a greenhouse, and they turned out pretty cool!

My FH and I had our pictures taken in January-- and it had been in the negatives for awhile. The morning of our pictures the windchill had it -16. My photographer decided to have us do some in her indoor studio for the main pictures and then get a few outside. I love both- but the indoor pictures we look happier because we were more comfortable. The outside photos don't show the same emotion, even though they are gorgeous.

I don't like how this app is cutting off parts of the pictures. I can even show you more. But this was in -16 degree weather...

@stealingthekredel and @Holly both of your photos are beautiful regardless of the weather. I wish I could just pick up a cute umbrella and make the best of it. However, I have really curly hair. In the rain there is a 85% chance I would turn into a complete fuzzy hair ball, lol.

I ended up just picking a photo I already had and cropped it down to get rid of the glass of wine in my hand and the people around us. I'm waiting on the sample now. Fingers are crossed that the photo quality is good enough, its a cell phone photo.

I've seen beautiful e pictures taken in coffee shops, greenhouses, museums, and aquariums. I took some of mine inside a local craft ice cream shop.

I'll second the idea for greenhouses. Almost gives the illusion of them being outdoors if that was the look you were going for.
