Incorporating my adult daughter from previous marriage in 2nd wedding

Jay, on August 6, 2022 at 5:24 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 10
Best ways to Incorporate My 27 year old daughter from my previous marriage into my second wedding when the bride and daughter dont have a close relationship but are cordial, politely & pleasant to each other. Considering I have 4 children to adult children son and daughter from prior marriage and 2 toddlers, son and daughter with my fiancee. My adult son is a groomsmen, 2 toddlers will be Incorporate, looking for a special and meaningful role for my oldest daughter, besides maid of honor or braids maid. Bride party already selected. I genuinely don't want her to feel left out, or not meaninfully involved in the wedding. All suggestions are appreciated.

Can she walk you down the aisle and “give you away”? Do a reading? Officiate? Be an adult flower girl.

Can she be a groomswoman and stand on your side?

Have her stand with you as a groomswoman. Mixed gender wedding parties are super common these days!

Definitely get her a corsage or little bouquet. Ask her if she want to stand on your side, be a reader, help with a unity ceremony, walk in with you etc. Good luck!

Agree with Sarah, Cece, and Stacey. This is becoming more common nowadays. I’m sure she would be honored to be your groomswoman!

Thank you all for all the suggestions, I really was struggling with this and thanks to you all I plan to.talk with my daughter and give her a few l option to see what's role she would be comfortable in such groomswoman, walks the aisle with me, participate in the unity ceremony, read a poem or do an additional daddy daughter dance. I'm so grateful for all the feedback; this forum is amazing.
    Thank you!

Either add her as a groomswoman (my brother is standing next to me as a bridesman) or walk you down the aisle.
