Include teenage son in engagement photos?

I think you're on the right track to do a few. Maybe have him in the first few, then let him leave and you guys can go on to do more sweet/sexy couple pictures.

I think you should just act like you're taking professional family photos for ten, fifteen minutes, and then transition into engagement pictures.

You could also ask your son for ideas, for poses he would be comfortable with.

I did some with my FH's daughter. I had signs made that said "we stole her heart" and "so, I'm stealing their last name", which wouldn't be true unless your son is taking his last name as well. We also just took a few without signs that are more just like a family photo. Our photographer loved that we wanted to include her in our photos so had no problem adding a few pictures with her. We hadn't ever had family pictures done of us either so it was a nice was to all get involved.

We are a blended family, and included our 4 children in a few of our engagement photos. FH has a daughter (11 going on 12) and a son from a previous marriage. I have a daughter (5) from a previous relationship. And we have a daughter (18 months) together. We took most of our pictures just us, but really wanted some with our kids too because this marriage is about them too. Ugh....WW won't let me upload multiple images right now, but here is one of the pictures we took to give you inspiration:

We also took one with us kissing and the kids in the background with their hands over their eyes, and one with a close up of the kids and us kissing in the background.
