Include engagement photo in invite packet

Lindsey, on April 22, 2018 at 12:51 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 9
I have our invitation, enclosure/ details and RSVP cards designed, just not printed yet. We recently got our engagement photos back from our photographer and love them! Any ideas on how to include a photo of us in the invitation packet?

I've thought about redesigning the enclosure/details card and having our photo printed on the back of it with our website address on it... what's your thoughts on that?

Otherwise do you think its cheesy to have a stand alone 4" x6" printed photo of us that is printed on same material as the rest of the invitation packet?

We have a website too, but a lot of my parents and my FH parents friends aren't tech savvy.

If you didn't have a chance to use them for STDs, don't put them in the invitation.
Frame them and use them the day of, maybe next to the guestbook or escort cards. You can also save them to send out a your Christmas card later on in the year!

If you want to include them in your packet, I think it’s cute when they’re in the back of an enclosure card.

I personally don't think pictures have a place in wedding invitations. It makes them wayyyy less formal IMO. I like the idea to save them for holiday cards!

I like the idea of having it on the back on an enclosure card also if not, maybe incorporate them onto thank you cards? Or include them in gifts to guests?

I wouldn't put them with your invitations. Instead, frame one or two to put on display at your reception. That's what we ended up doing.

Depends on how formal your invitations are. If you are going for formal invites, don't include any photos. But if you don't mind them to be really informal, you can include a photo. I really like the idea of having them displayed near the guest book or escort cards. You can print them in different sizes and have the frames match your decor. You could also have an album printed with just the engagement photos instead of printing them all out. I personally have mine displayed on my website and plan on setting our album out near the guest book.

I've seen people use photos as envelope liners and I think it's a super cute idea! So when you open the envelope the picture is on the inside of the flap.

OOT guests are invited to our RD. And we are having a Day-After Brunch as well. In the Wedding Invitations, I included all three invitations to OOT guests. In the back of our RD invitation, is a picture of us taken during our engagement photo session. Something to think about.

We printed an album of our engagement photos to use AS our guest book! I love how it came out, and it was a great way to preserve all those photos.
