In remembrance of!!!

Kristyn, on September 5, 2019 at 12:25 PM Posted in Planning 1 39
So my fiance's mother passed 7 years ago and special life events such as our triplets being born him graduating and now our wedding are all hard days for him to experience without her. He wants a seat set aside for her at the ceremony and i plan on making it special with her picture and maybe a bouquet and candle on it for her, but I've also thought I would make a pocket square or a flower for his boutineer out of a dress she wore to my fiance's sisters wedding so he can have a piece of her close to his heart that day. I even am trying to get it stitched with a sample of her writting. Looking for anyone else doing a sort of special in memory of a loved one at their wedding???

I'm getting my FW a boutonniere charm with a photo of her late grandmother. I'll have bouquet charms of my grandma and great grandma.

I made bouquet charms for my bouquet of my grandparents and aunt.
H thought about it too late, but he would have used his grandfather's cufflinks.

I'm fortunate to have only lost grandparents at this point, but we're planning to do a little display for them. I wanted to avoid using photos, but instead put items that were important to them/remind me of them in bell jars - things like barber's shears and dog tags for my grandfather and nurses pins and a pocket bible for my grandmother.

I bought memorial cuff links for my FH to honor his late mom. I found them on Etsy.

I’ve found a sign. That’s for the seat saying something like this seat is for some close to our heart who’s in heaven. Something like that. With there pictures. Then would have a table with there pictures.

For myself I got a charm with a photo of me and my dad for my bouquet and for my FH I got him a boutonniere charm with a photo of him and his mom in it. We are also having a memorial table.

I do like the ideas of charms as well! I may put one on her bouquet on the seat it's a really elegant way to include a person into the wedding

My mom passed November 26, 18, and my FH parents are gone as well. I'm going to have a sand ceremony. I had their names engraved on a glass candlejar. That my oldest & his oldest sister will pour before the ceremony. I will place it on the fireplace at my home.

We are having a sign and lighting a candle for loved ones and then we are going to have a spot for our daughter that passed away.

My photo didn't load with the last post. This is the sign that will have the burning candle next to it
