I’m feeling pretty heart broken. My sister was my maid of honor, and we got into a small disagreement and she decided to cancel my bachelorette party that’s supposed to be this Saturday, and she dropped out the wedding, and her fiancé was the best man. My wedding is in less then 2 months. I’m thinking about asking my best friend to be my MOH, but I don’t want her feeling like she’s sloppy seconds. I’m hurt, confused, and I just want to cry 😭 ughhhhh

Side is a whole different thing. She needs to bounce boyfriend out. And deal with this as abuse.

Sorry this is happening. But I would definitely ask best friend to be your MOH. Im kinda going through the same thing. My best friend (MOH) is giving me the cold shoulder. No fight no nothing. Just stopped talking to me. I have no idea why. So I asked my bridesmaid to be my maid of honor. And she's more than happy to step up.

Thank you! She’s not a bridesmaid we became friends after I asked the girls in my wedding to be in it.

Reports have been filed, and he’s been taken by his father. I didn’t feel the need to spill that personal business to you all. I’m on a WEDDING APP about MY WEDDING. That’s none of anyone’s business! 🙂 Don’t go through life assuming, or it’ll be a bad one for ya! 😉

We’re taking care of that... I didn’t feel the need to let you all in on the details of that because it’s no ones business.. I came here for wedding advise. It’s a wedding app I figured it was okay... don’t assume things are being taken care of properly because you were only told certain details. I don’t spill my business out for the world to know.. my nephew is fine with his real dad..

I wouldn’t ask your best friend since it’s so late in the game. I’m so sorry you and your sister had a falling out. Do you think it’s something you can plan to discuss with her over the next week when you guys have some time apart? I’d still do something for your bachelorette party, have your other bridesmaids help plan something, it’ll still be a great time ❤️

I understand not wanting to share personal details to an extent, but the fact that the fight was over physical abuse is relevant to the issue at hand. If you two got in a fight because you said her boyfriend was lazy, I would say give her space to steam out her crazy and move on with a new MOH. Given that it was an argument about abuse, I absolutely would not replace her. Replacing her could cause her to feel isolated and abandoned, bringing her even closer to her abusive boyfriend. There are situations that call us to be heroically loving and self-sacrificing. This is one of them.
