Immediate Family walking down isle

Rebecca, on December 28, 2019 at 11:11 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 6

Has anyone had their immediate family walk down the isle before the bridal party?! Is that weird to do? None of my brothers or sister-in-laws are in the bridal party so I thought that would be a nice way to recognize them quickly.

I feel like nowadays some things about wedding traditions are changing. I feel that if you want them to walk down the aisle then why not. I think it's a very nice gesture to recognize them.

My brother n his sister are not in the wedding party. I'm thinking I'll let them walk down the aisle too before our parents.

I’m not having a bridal party either, so I’m having my immediate family walk down. It’s such a sweet gesture for them. My youngest sister will be the flower girl, but I told my other sister she’ll still walk down and she was beyond touched. I say go for it!

I think it’s a nice idea. I don’t have any brothers so my sisters boyfriends escorted my mom so she didn’t walk alone and it was a nice touch. You could have the immediate family escort your mom so your dad doesn’t have to hustle back up the aisle. That was our deciding factor. It was a hustle even for the best man to run back for my mom and MOH so we changed to the boyfriends after the final on-site rehearsal.

Yeah why not!! I had my mother walk with my BIL and both my paternal and maternal grandmothers walk down with an uncle as their usher Smiley smile
