I’m worried I’ve lost too much weight.

Jennifer, on September 26, 2022 at 12:29 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9
Hello- so my seamstress just told me she can only take in 2 inches on each side of my dress, so a total of 4 inches. I know NOTHING in this area/topic lol I’m not starting alterations till January, so I’m kinda freaking out about losing too much weight. I’ve already lost 45 and plan on just maintaining till the wedding. Is 2 inches a good amount on each side to take in? It just doesn’t sound like it is 😟 Thank You ❤️I’m worried I’ve lost too much weight. 1

She might have said that number due to the design of the gown and not wanting to lose the integrity of the look and style. I think you'll be fine and as long as you maintain your weight as you are for final fitting. You you should be good.

Yes ma’am, that’s exactly why she said that. Everyone keeps telling me 4 inches is a good amount & that I should be fine..but ya know, I’m obviously going to stress till January lol thank you so much for your feedback 😊

I know what you mean about the stress, you will definitely be good. Try not to let it weigh too heavy on your mind. I had my dress altered and the only thing I realized was I should have brought the hem up more, I'm a little short and kept having to pick up the dress over and over through the night. Talk about annoying.

Girl, yes! As you know, the dress is EVERYTHING lol it’s definitely my only true obsession with this entire wedding planning. It’s the only thing that has to be perfect. Thank you for mentioning your experience. I’ve seen a lot of brides having to hold their dress up during their reception, so I thought it was “normal” but just looked annoying lol so I’ll keep that in mind

I wouldn't stress. If you're planning on maintaining where you are, just stick to that plan. 4 inches is a LOT and with that gown (beautiful by the way!) it's the top that she's worried about losing the integrity and structure. And 45lbs doesn't necessarily equal massive amounts of inches - it all depends on how your body carries its weight. For instance - I just had my first fitting, it had to be taken in a full 3 inches on BOTH sides. The scale - she has not moved a single lb (much to my annoyance).

Don't stress! I think you're probably going to be just fine Smiley smile

Aww thank you. I’m VERY sensitive to carbs, so I only consume 50 grams a day. I was being extremely strict with my calories and not going over 1,200, but when I did cardio, I would up my calories to 1,500. So basically low carb, low calorie & 60 minutes of cardio 5 times a week.

Thank you very much for sharing. Carbs is my thing as well. I just decided to lower them down also. But I'll eat more fruit and vegetales than I did previously. Thanks again!
