I'm streaming due to covid

Due to COVID, I have had to move my wedding date and venue which now only allows 100 people. So now we have to cut our guest list. I came up with the idea to live stream the ceremony invite only (my fiancé isn't a for show type of person). Should I choose who gets to attend live stream or should I invite the original 130 and allow them to RSVP to the ceremony or live stream????

I would invite the 100 people you want at the wedding, and invite the other 30 to the livestream. Then if anyone declines the in-person invite, you can send the live stream info.

I would send the live stream link to those you've originally invited as some of the 100 may not be able or feel comfortable with gatherings over 50 right now. I think the biggest thing we can do is meet people where they are while still ensuring your day is special and filled with love in whatever form your family and friends are present. If you are concerned about the live stream being too open, maybe use a password protected link and/or have a moderator managing your feed/virtual room? All the best to you!

My fiance and I are also livestreaming the event but are not collecting RSVP's. Our invitation/save-the-date will have the link to the wedding website, which will have more info on the livestream (hosted on Vimeo) and remind them to add it to their calendar if they want to tune in. Instead of collecting RSVPs we'll have a Google Forms "virtual guest book" link on the livestream site.

Zoom could work if you want something more interactive - you can have a moderator and use functions like the breakout rooms for "reception tables" and visit each breakout room as if you're visiting each table at the reception.
