Super September 2026

I'm rescheduled: June 27 to August 7...

Laura, on March 17, 2020 at 11:40 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 10

It was seamless. One big factor was that I didn't wait until the last minute to change things. So, since my vendors weren't out money - they switched me without asking me for a fee to switch or loss of deposit. Everyone on the fence take note: the longer you wait the harder and more expensive it will be. Others are switching and taking presumptive safe dates now. If you delay - it only makes it harder. I know that no one wants to change things. But honestly, letting go of the stress has made a huge difference to me.

If the new date doesn't work - we're eloping. I'm at almost 2 years of planning and I'm ready for the rest of my life with him. Smiley heart

Excellent advice. Sometimes it's best to just make the call. Best wishes!

Thank you - it feels better this way. We have announced that there will be no reschedule - we'll default to elopement if this falls through. We had a date set then changed it when his family couldn't be there due to a college graduation. So, that's 2 dates. This is our third and final attempt to have a "wedding with other people"- lol!

We are doing the same! We postponed our wedding for 4/25 to 9/5. I am hoping that the postponed date will work.

Thank you! I hope it will help people. Many don't want to change dates because of deposits. But, I found that switching now actually saved my deposits - and that made all the difference! Smiley heart Also, vendors do really understand what's going on... My vendors were all high-fiving yesterday - and they thanked me for not switching everything at the last minute.

We need to be kind to our vendors too - they are taking the risk in hosting and attending our events too. Let's be kind to those on whose help we rely. Smiley smile Smiley heart
