I’m not sure if i actually love my dress

I went dress shopping over the weekend and I had the last time slot of the day. I went into it not knowing what I really wanted at all. I probably tried around 10-12 dresses on and I narrowed it down to two dresses. I am now looking back at pictures and now I feel like I don’t look that great in it. I am also concerned it might end up being too short after alterations and having heels on (I’m 5’8) . I didn’t have shoes on when I tried it on. I really just didn’t get that special feeling with any dress I tried on, but felt pressured due to my wedding being 8 months away and they told me most dresses are taking up to 10 months to come in. So I only got to look at ones that they knew would come in before then. I ended up narrowing it down to two discontinued dresses. it now I feel like it makes me look old. The dress shop is all sales are final though so I’m not sure if they would let me exchange for the other dress. Should I stick with the dress, try to exchange, or cut my loses and try to sell it and find something else? I wasn’t completely in love with the front of the other dress though. I just felt so rushed because they were closing in 5 mins and two of the people I brought with me were complaining about being hungry for most of the time we were there.

Awww I'm sorry you feel that way hun! And it's totally up to you on what you want to do. First of all I think you look GREAT in it! The dress is beautiful as well!! But if you truly feel it in your heart that you don't want this dress then start looking into other dresses just to see how you feel about them. Make an appointment at other shops or boutiques and go from there. Just go to these appointments to get a feel. These shops and boutiques will do anything to sell you a dress because I'm sure they are based on commissions?? That's what it seemed like to me at least. Stand your ground and don't give in until you are absolutely sure!
And even start looking online and see what you do and don't like so you know what you want to see on your body when you go into the appointment. But again in my opinion I like the dress on you!

You look gorgeous, and the back especially is beautiful. If you're worried about the length, I think you could easily wear cute little kitten heels like these cuties from Something Bleu and look stunning in this dress:
The thing is, it's easy for us to say that, but you're the one who needs to feel it. And if you don't, you don't. My sister changed her mind about her dress - she looked BEAUTIFUL in the first one she picked, but honestly, I was surprised when she chose it in the first place. The second dress was very much more her, and you could see in every line of her body how much happier she was in the second. If you can afford to lose the money on this dress... it's a pretty big and important day and you deserve to feel fabulous.

If you can't exchange the dress, you could make the straps thinner or change the lining to a more traditional color to hide the lace a little. But i love it as is

Personally I think think the dress is beautiful but you have to feel happy with it! I went through the same feeling with a dress and finally decided to try on other dresses and felt so much better in it.

I ended up getting a second dress. I just wasnt getting excited and felt so uncomfortable in the first dress...which I rushed into buying because my mom and MIL both were tired of shopping lol. I ended up going with two of my coworkers/friends and the entire experience was better. If youre interested in my dress I would be happy to give you a good deal on it! Its Morilee and the dress is called Shea. Its a very stunning dress but didnt fit my vision of a boho wedding .
