So i am getting married 19 June 2021 and I have decided to design and sew my own wedding dress. I have already started working on it and estimate it to take me about a year to fully finish (less if I didn’t have kids and a job lol)... anyone else tackling this task??

Oh wow that's amazing! I love the design of your dress, it's absolutely gorgeous. That is going to be indeed a one of a kind dress, it's mind-blowing to me that you can make your own (I'm not at all crafty like that - nor do I know how to use a sewing machine, lol).

I wish you luck! This is a very daunting task and I hope it comes out the way you want it to! Keep us updated? I love this kind of stuff. I just don't have the guts to do my own dress

Progress update.. bottom two rows are tulle... the top two rows are this shimmer white sheer organza that I forgot I had... I plan to do 2/3 more layers of organza and then a top layer of satin that will match my bodice... I also need to add two more hoops inside to really fluff it out.
