I'm making a bridesmaid survival kit...what else should I include?

Shaina , on September 12, 2008 at 10:48 AM Posted in Planning 0 9

I am making a bridesmaid survival kit which was suggested by another post here. i love the idea. she is letting me use the idea. it was passed onto her. on the top of the box is a poem that includes all of these items. i went to walmart and bought some of the items already. the kit includes items that the bridesmaids may use at the wedding the next day (e.g. hairspray, bobby pins, kleenex, mints, bandaids, etc.)

what else should i include?

    Aerosol Deoderant, just in case.

    Small sewing kit

    Hem tape

    Tampons or other femanine products.

    Straight pins

    Static Guard

These are just a few other things that could be included for youself as well as your bridesmaids.

I think this is an awesome idea! Something I would also add is some sort of truffle, or fun chocolate. I've seen "for her" type chocolate at Cost Plus World Market that have clever quotes on the bars that make for a good laugh. Mainly what I'm thinking here though is a group of woman should never be far from chocolate. :o)

The rest of the ideas rock. You could also go to maybe Ulta and see what perfume samples they have for weddings, also what samples they have for lipsticks and such that would match for the day. A travel sized compact wouldn't be bad either.

Don't forget some cute flip flops for when the party kicks into full gear!

I always have a little snack in my emergency kit. When the day swings in to high gear, the worst thing is to hear complaints about being hungry. You can put in Luna Bars, or the super tasty bars by Nature Valley.

I'm all about chocolate, but I discourage including it in the kit ( a better place for chocolate is in their gift(s) from you, at the rehearsal). After all the time & money that goes into the big day, it's a shame when some lovely bride's maid gets food on her dress. Chocolate is one of those marks that won't come out at a moment's notice.

Which reminds me, a Tide Stainstick, or mini-Oxy Clean spray are great to have in the kit.

You would definitely need Shout wipes, healthy snacks like granola bars, and water bottles

Congrats!... Aspring, might be a good addition to the survival kit (depending on the Bachelorette Party). Mini bottled water & Isotoners/satin slippers would be nice, too.
