I'm looking for "fake water"! I seen what appears to be water, but not....

In a vase of flowers at the craft store. Do you know what I'm talking about? If so, what is it called and can I buy it in a craft/hobby store. There was a vase w/ flowers in it and they were set by this hardened like gel substance that made it appear as though the flowers were sitting in water. Please tell me how I can do this. Can I buy this kind of "stuff" in Joanns or Michaels or is there some homemade version?

It's called "floral setting resin," and it's a type of *epoxy* resin that cures with a soft surface (and must be contained in something).

You can find it in the floral dept. of various stores, and find some of the brand names it's sold under on this page at my site:

(...for this type of resin, click on *Softer Setting Epoxy Resins*)

If you do a search for it online you will find it.

You can get it Hobby Lobby (I know for sure) and probably Michael's (although I haven't seen it there myself).

Funny, yadayada. I know when I posted this it sounded strange to me. It looks as though 1 box doesn't make much and I need to fill the bottom of about 17 vases that are probably about 3" in diameter to about 3-4" inches high maybe. I'm guessing. I've never done this before. I'm hoping to find a "homemade" version that is more cost efficient.
