Have you tried right clicking the picture and saving it to your computer. After that you should be able to clink on the picture icon when you're writing your message and be able to add it from there.

Hi there werethemitchells, if you're on desktop there is a button in the edit window where you can upload your picture to share it

You'll need to upload the pic rather than pasting in the link. Sorry for any confusion!
