Hi Ladies !

my fiancé and I decided on a no kids wedding, because it cut cost. The only thing is that Im not sure if I should address the "No kids" on the save the dates, or should it be on the invitation? The only kids at my wedding are my son and my nephews . What did you do? or recommend?

You don’t need to directly say no kids. Just don’t write the children’s name on the save the date or on the invitation, on the rsvp put we have reserved *blank* seats in your honor so they know there won’t be seats for kids if they didn’t gather that from the children’s names not being on the invitation. If you have a website you could directly say adult only wedding on there

I put "adult only ceremony & reception" at the bottom of our RSVPs

If you put "this is an adult only affair" on the invites and save the dates, they will have plenty of time to secure a babysitter.
I'd suggest putting it on the invitation specifically, because where I'm from, it is assumed that the whole family is invited.

Yes!! This is what I was thinking as well!

I would make it clear "adults only" on the invitation's and if you have any family members with children maybe reach out to the personally and talk to them about your reasoning's. As a mother who has been to many weddings it can be difficult to tell who exactly is invited and I hate being in the position of having to ask or guess.

We addressed out save the dates specifically to the adults that were invited. No "and family". We will do the same for our invitations. We also put "We love kids, but we kindly ask that you help us keep this an adult only wedding" on our website under the "wedding" section.

We didn't put anything on our STDs. We put "Adult Reception to follow" on our invites as well as wrote a sentence on our website about how much we love the kids in our families but have chose to have a primarily adult only ceremony and reception. The only kids that are allowed are the 3 that will be in our wedding party.

This was something I was so stressed about. On my father side, I have a lot of young cousins. I decided first before sending STD's or invites, to make a group message and text them letting them know that due to cost we are having adult only wedding. I wanted them to have a heads up BC i know each was planning on attending the wedding. Moving forward I added it on the STD'S, Invitations & our wedding website. Also, on the RSVP card I chose to do We have reserved___seats. My family took it well with the message so I wasn't stressed anymore.

Hope this helps. Good luck and Congrats
