Hi there! My name is Rianna and my fiance and I are planning on getting married in his home country of Jamaica before moving to the US. My question for those of you that utilize this site is do you think WeddingWire would still be useful for me, with my wedding being outside the US? And does anyone else have a similar experience to share?

I don't think it would help much. I would say you can try this site. I've heard about it but I haven't gone too much into it but it's definitely a start and you can see for yourself how you feel about it. Good luck to you!

It probably wouldn't be useful for finding vendors in Jamaica but the forums are good if you need advice on anything wedding related. Logistics, invitations, dresses, bridal party, decorations, catering. Everyone will give you their opinions usually if you have any questions.

Hi! I’m getting married in Jamaica as well. WW is helpful still for sure! Also, my Jamaican venue and photographer are listed on WW as vendors so you may find others in Jamaica too! I am also planning a wedding reception for 85 guests in my hometown when we return, so I kinda have 2 of everything. The local stuff I’ve definitely found a lot more help with on here but it’s still with a shot! Good luck!

All you have to do is change your region when searching venues. WW is definitely going to be helpful with that.
