Ive had this idea since the beginning of time. Im buying a scroll from amazon to write my vows on. I intend on having my maid of honor present it to me before i read my vows and put on fake reading glasses lol. I wrote a really funny but also sweet and sincere LENGTHY vow... as my man predicted. Thoughts? Imma do it anyway ahhahaa

    It's your wedding, and you know your crowd best. I just started writing my own vows, and the advice seems to be to keep it to around a minute or 2 in length (about 150-200 words). Otherwise, it becomes a lot for the guests to digest. If you have more to say, maybe writing it into a card to give to your fiance on the wedding day.

    It comes to about 2.5 minutes talking it out. Yes. They all know I'm a goofball haha

    You always want to add about a minute because reading it in the moment, getting choked up, stumbling, etc. always adds time. So I would budget 3.5-4 minutes in the moment.

    Ahah that's so extra but in a really funny and charming way

    i think as a guest i'd be pretty entertained to see that but also, when i time myself reading my vows [including the choke ups because i always get choked up reading my own vows], it's about 3 minutes long which my fiance says is long but i can't imagine not saying those things
