I got married yesterday!!! It was incredible, and perfect even though things did not go as planned. I wanted to share our florals since we did it ourselves. We were supposed to order the florals from fifty flowers and Sams, but in the midst of everything that was going on ( we severed ties with our planner weeks before the wedding so we had no coordinator and on top of that I was doing way too many diy projects 🙄) we forgot! We lucked up because our venue has an in-house decorator and they were able to take over from what our wedding planner was supposed to do. However the when you ordered the wrong color tablecloth’s, and we did not realize it until two days before the wedding. And at that point it was too late to do anything about it. Anyway it all worked out because had we ordered the flowers we were originally going to go with, the colors would have been all wrong We lucked up because our venue has an in-house decorator and they were able to take over from what our wedding planner was supposed to do. However the venue ordered the wrong color table cloths (our colors were a purple/orchid pink color with gold accents but the venue ordered a BRIGHT fuchsia pink!) and we did not realize it until two days before the wedding. And at that point it was too late to do anything about it. Anyway it all worked out because had we ordered the flowers we were originally going to go with, the colors would have been all wrong and there wouldnt have been any type of cohesiveness with the overall look. So the day before I woke up and planned on going to a flower nursery to see what I could do but I made a stop to Publix to get breakfast and they had the most beautiful assortment of pink and purple flowers. Our bridesmaids dresses were orchid and the combination of pink and purple were perfect though not what I had originally wanted! So I bought them all lol I took them home and began playing around. I ended up making all 10 boutonnières which was so easy to do and I made a few bouquetss just to see what I could come up with and fell in LOVE! We ended up with 9 tall bouquets, 2 corsages for the motherof the bride and groom and the 12 boutonnières. There was plenty of flowers left over so we used them for extra decor for the ceremony and reception area. We still have a lot of stems left! All the flowers cost under $100 😱😱😱 they were stunning! I’m still swooning!!! The flowers we were gonna get from both Fifty flowers and Costco/sams would have totaled well over $400-600 for the amount we needed! I can’t imagine how much it would have cost if we went with a Florist! And it wasn’t stressful to do!!! Of all the diy projects I did, these take the cake! I’m gonna add floral designer to mr resume now 🤣
